CLIMVIB at ICAR 2017 – Siena (Italy), June 12-14, 2017
We are pleased to announce that CLIMVIB will be participating to the 9th edition of the Italian Conference on AIDS and Antiviral Research (ICAR 2017), which will be held in Siena (Italy), on June 12-14, 2017.
As broadcasted in the conference website, the purpose of ICAR2017 “will be to present and discuss innovations and advances in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the major viral infections, resulting from the interaction among epidemiology, basic research, virology, clinical research and the needs of patient associations, reserving great visibility to young researchers and representatives of the community […]”.
Dr. Valeria Micheli, Adjunct professor at University of Milan, who is responsible for the molecular diagnosis of viral hepatitis and the study of drug-resistance of HIV, HBV and HCV, as well as HIV tropism at CLIMVIB, will contribute to the conference with his work “HIV Genotypic Drug Resistance test (GRT) for Integrase Strand Stranfer Inhibitors (INSTIs) at low level viremia: light and shadow in the clinical practice”.
Moreover, Dr. Micheli will take part in the pre-conference advanced course as invited speaker and her presentation will focus on “Failing patients presenting low-level viremia: What to do? The virologist perspective”.
