EU CBRN CoE Project 46 – WP5 National Training Workshop in Cambodia – THANK YOU!

We announce that the WP5 National Training Workshop on Biowaste Management in Cambodia successfully ended today, 14th of June 2018.

The Workshop has been a great opportunity for all the participants to enhance their ability and skills in relation to biowaste management process.
The participants, which were representative both of laboratory staff, waste handlers and national authorities in charge of regulation on biowaste handling, attended lectures and practical sessions that allowed them to deepen their knowledge on the topic and to debate the correct procedures and guidelines necessary to guarantee the safety of the workers and the environment.

In addition, the Workshop included a visit to an incinerator in Cambodia, that allowed the participants to better understand biowaste disposal issues.

The National Training Workshop benefited from the expertise of the two trainers, Dr. Philippe Stroot and Prof Philippe Le Costumer, which have provided their competence and skills for the advantage of all the participants. The experts led lectures and discussions which allowed the attendees to raise their awareness on the importance of biowaste management procedures.

The event is part of the wider project “EU CBRN CoE Project 46”, which has the purpose of enhancing capacities of South-East Asia countries to address CBRN risks and improve the legal framework on this topic.

We are truly grateful to all the participants for their active involvement and we want to thank the National Focal Point for the collaboration and help.

We are looking forward to cooperating with you soon!
