EU CBRN CoE Project 46 – WP5 National Training Workshop in Myanmar
We are really pleased to announce that today, Tuesday 22nd May, the National Training Workshop on Biological Waste Management was successfully kicked off at Hotel Mandalay, Mandalay, Myanmar.
The workshop, part of Work Package 5 “Risk assessment, transport and management of hazardous biological waste” of EU CBRN CoE Project 46, represents the third appointment of a number of training courses within the following countries: Brunei Darussalam, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Viet Nam, the Philippines and Cambodia.
The training is addressed to a range of 30 specialists from different institutions and departments previously nominated by the National Focal Point of Myanmar. The attendees will spend the next four days learning about the biological waste management process, guided by our experts Dr. Philippe Stroot and Prof. Philippe Le Coustumer.
The intense learning programme consists of presentations, group discussions and practical exercises in which the trainees have the chance to analyse and debate the different phases of biowaste management process. It represents an important occasion to bring together professionals with different knowledge and expertise considering the different role played by each of them during daily work.
Beside expressing our gratitude to the National Focal Point and his staff for the significant support to the realization of the event, we want to thank all the participants for taking part to this workshop and wish them a very intense training days!
