EU CBRN CoE Project 46 – WP5 National Training Workshop in Viet Nam – THANK YOU!

The WP5 National Training Workshop on Biowaste management that took place in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, from May 28th to 31st, has been successfully completed.

The Workshop, which is part of “EU CBRN CoE Project 46”, involved different participants engaged in each stage of the biowaste management process, such as laboratory staff, representatives of national authorities and individuals in charge of biowaste disposal. The participants had the opportunity to benefit from lectures and exercises led by two expert trainers, Dr. Philippe Stroot and Prof Philippe Le Coustumer, which have years of experience in the field of biosafety and biosecurity and biowaste management.

The National Training Workshop was a unique chance for all the participants to deepen their knowledge on the biowaste management process and discuss about the guidelines in place in Viet Nam for the handling and the disposal of this type of waste. In addition, the experience included a visit to a landfill, in order to allow a better understanding of the practical operations and give a wide overview of the process.

We want to thank all the participants for their active involvement and express our gratitude to the National Focal Point and their staff for their important contribution to this event.

We look forward to meeting you again!
