EU CBRN CoE Project 46 – WP5 National Training Workshop in Viet Nam
We are pleased to announce that today, May 28th 2018, the National Training Workshop on Biological Waste Management in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, has officially started.
This Workshop is part of a series of National Training Workshops held within the framework of the Work Package 5 “Risk assessment, transport and management of hazardous biological waste wide project” of the wider project “EU CBRN CoE – Project 46”, which involves six South-Asia countries: Brunei Darussalam, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Myanmar, Viet Nam, the Philippines and Cambodia.
The group of attendees is composed of different categories coming from several institutions and ministries which operate in the field of biowaste management. The participants will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and expertise in the field of biowaste handling, treatment and disposal, both trough lectures and practical exercises. The foreseen visit to a landfill will also provide the participants with a broader perspective of biowaste management procedures. The workshop will end with the delivery of Certificate of attendance for all the participants.
The National Training Workshop will also be a great opportunity for the professionals to share their knowledge and debate on the risks related to biowaste and the best practices that have to be implemented to correctly manage this kind of waste. The presence of professionals working in different fields of the process will provide the possibility to analyze the issue of biowaste management from different perspectives.
We are really thankful to the National Focal Point and the collaborators for their support that has enabled us to successfully organize this event. We send our best wishes to the participants for these intense training days and thank them for choosing to participate in this fruitful workshop.
