Project 46 BET Workshop Part II – Thank You!
As previously announced on our website, the second of two training workshops on Biosafety and Biosecurity for Sustainable Biorisk Management was conducted from March 20th to 24th in Yangon, Myanmar.
This last part of the Workshop is set in the framework of Component 2 – Work Package 3 “Coordination, analysis, and training course development on biosafety, biosecurity and bio-risk management” of the EU CBRN CoE Project 46 “Enhancement of CBRN capacities of South East Asia in addressing CBRN risk mitigation concerning CBRN first response, biosafety and biosecurity, awareness raising and legal framework”.
The event focused on specific aspects of biorisk management and implementation of a biorisk management program or system, following the first part of the Workshop, held in February in Vientiane, Lao PDR and it involved 16 delegates from South-East Asian countries (Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam) who will become, after this first phase, trainers in their own countries, delivering national training session.
The Workshop was hosted at the Summit Parkview Hotel, in Yangon, Myanmar.
We wish to thank our hosts, trainers, project partners and donors for the continued support and engagement in this initiative. A special thank you goes out to our BET members whose proactive participation and on-going interest in the event was key to the success of the workshop and we wish them the best of luck for their future careers.
