EU CBRN CoE Project 46 – WP5 Final Workshop in Hanoi, Viet Nam – THANK YOU!
The WP5 Final Workshop on “Biological Waste Management”, held on 25th and 26th of June in Hanoi, officially ended today.
The Workshop, carried out as part of the important project “EU CBRN CoE – Project 46”, which aims at enhancing South East Asia capacity in addressing CBRN risks, has been an important opportunity for all the attendees to deepen their knowledge of best practices and guidelines concerning biowaste management.
Most attendees were delegates of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of
Environment of the six countries involved in this part of the
project (WP5), which are Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Myanmar, the Philippines
and Cambodia. Dr. Philippe Stroot and Prof. Philippe Le Coustumer led discussions and
lectures on different issues of biowaste management, including biowaste segregation and
handling, best practices regarding incinerators, landfill disposal and the relative best
practices.
In addition, the two experts encouraged discussion in relation to strategies and actions
to be taken in order to improve national and regional practices in the field of
biological waste management.
We want to express our gratitude to all the attendees for their enriching contribution
which allowed WP5 Final Workshop to be a successful event.
We look forward to working with you again!
