We are pleased to announce that the WP5 Final Workshop on “Biological Waste Management” has officially started today, 25th of June, in Hanoi.
The Workshop is part of the “EU CBRN CoE – Project 46”, which is designed to improve South East Asia capacity to address CBRN risks mitigation, with a particular focus on biosafety and biosecurity, biowaste management, awareness raising and legal framework. In particular, this event is part of WP5, which involved six different countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, Myanmar, the Philippines and Cambodia.
The Final Workshop foresees debates and considerations over South East Asia biowaste management procedures and regulations, along with possible future steps to be taken at the national and regional level in order to enhance countries’ capacities in this field. Debates and lectures will be led by the two experts Dr. Philippe Stroot and Prof Philippe Le Coustumer, who will provide information concerning current South East Asia background and practices.
The attendees are representatives of Ministry of Health and Ministry of Environment of each country involved, thereby guaranteeing the involvement of the major authorities in charge of biological waste management process.
We express our sincere gratitude to all the attendees for participating in this important event and we are sure it will be an enriching experience for all of us.
